Relationship Status:

Things I love to do:
Live life consciously - to be engaged with my narrative of what it means to live well.... which is to live a good life, have the money to avoid pain and suffering and be of service when ever possible.

I have been interested in human awareness for over 18 years now, studying spiritual texts and practices of the Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist, and Native American traditions. I have also been interested in Bushido, martial arts of several kinds and the world of energy as it relates to us living as spiritual being that just happen to be human at this time.

Besides all this - I love being in nature; from the high desert country of New Mexico and Arizona to the tropics of Puerto Rico, from the hills of Kentucky to the beaches of Brazil - this planet we live on is just teaming with life and I love being part of it.

I also like to cook, play music, ride Ducati motorcycles and spend time with my wife Shino.
People I would love to meet:
People that are awake, open minded and committed to living a life of authenticity, love and service.

Where the hell is Matt!!

For those of you who have not heard of Matt - check it out. One of his more popular videos I like this interview too, he talks about his perspective of Living Life Right ... for him. I like his perspective and clarity on knowing that he does not like to work. Yet, his live is working out in a way that works for him. The interview about how he stared and his thoughts a… Continue

To: YOU Date: TODAY From: GOD Subject: YOURSELF Reference: LIFE This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day. I love you. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do no… Continue

Awareness, Cognition and Will

I was reading B.K.S. Iyengar's book Light on Life yesterday and came upon a very powerful teaching that I wanted to share with you. It is on Awareness, Cognition and Will. It is something we all have to use on a daily basis and I have never come across this explained so systematically, easily and powerfully. If you do not get it here - please read it on pages 126 and… Continue

More on Poetry

This thought of having poetry in your life has been a topic of discussion for a couple of weeks now, Shino (my wife) and I have been watching for it virtually on a daily basis, making sure we celebrate the poetry in living. The good news is that we feel we have quite a lot of it in our lives. Here is some more of what we did recently. We went hiking on the 4th of July, to a beach I did not note the name of, but it was on Route 1 South, towards Santa Cruz, between Pascadero and Wadell Creek. We… Continue

The Essence of Happiness

I wrote this article, somewhere between 1997 and 2004, am not sure when - but just asked by "John" (I am not even sure which "John" you are my friend, but I thank you for this reminder) - to post it again - it is pretty good ... and long. Might have to re-title it ... Just Live! ------- Taken from an article on teachings from the Bhagavat Gita, the ancient Indian scripts,' The Puranas'. This specific article presents my comments and commentaries of a teaching from Lord Krishna. Why do yo… Continue

Paul, I work in the world of renewable energies. Specifically, mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline photovoltaic design/installation. In addition to my day job, I serve on a board of directors for a new clothing line that is made in the USA, completely organic and minority owned. My wife and I are attempting to live green and encourage/influence others to do the same. One planet, one goal. Your site looks great. Thanks, Mike Sanjurjo

Hi Paul - Thanks for the invitation. I think the definition of living life right will be as unique as every individual. It's up to each person to decide what right living is for them, and then how much focus and energy they have available to make it happen. I'm on a spiritual path of yoga and follow the teachings, so what I need to do to live life right for me is very specific.

According to the scriptures, attaining the goal of yoga is the most difficult of all human endeavors. To quote Mahatma Gandhi, "It is not so difficult to endure bullets in your chest; but it is extremely difficult to work daily on a schedule, to fight with yourself at every moment, and in this way, to purify yourself."

For me, living right is engaging in this struggle to purify myself, and my efforts fall short often, but what is important to me is that I never stop trying and I never give up.

Im fine Paul, nice to hear from you again!!
I try to be myself, to be conguent, authentic. this is what comes to my mind when I think in live life right. I guess the problem starts when other people disagree or dislike it. I believe it is good to listen to the others and not life in a comfort shelter, but be oneself, be honest with oneself this open mind state is what makes me feel free and happy. take care.

Hi Paul,
I am doing well. Your slide show in this site is great.

You remember Alex Mithra who is now in Australia? He was in town about two weeks ago. I met Ragu and Anand (from School) with their families at Alex's mother’s house for his daughter’s birthday it was fun. BK was in Banglore last week, said he was on a short visit to his parents house.

It is summer time in Madras. The temperature is rising, the mosquitoes are biting and the power is failing and we are all smiling:-)

Give my regards to Shino

Hey Paul!

Things are coming along here. It's finally come time to do some real capital raising. I've been working on my business plan for the past month now and I understand things in a way I have never understood before; it's quite heady seeing financial projections in front of you that you always knew existed, but where only in your head until then! So I'm getting ready to hit a first round of real investment here in another month or so!
Oh, and I bought house. :)

And yourself? Is this your initiative here? Do tell me more of what you have in mind!

Oh, and Funny you should contact me now: not two days ago I was asking a west coast VC advisor who was giving a presentation if by chance he knew you. He said he didn't but the point is that you have been very close to mind lately.
