This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day.
I love you.
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (
something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do no…

I was reading
B.K.S. Iyengar's book Light on Life yesterday and came upon a very powerful teaching that I wanted to share with you. It is on Awareness, Cognition and Will. It is something we all have to use on a daily basis and I have never come across this explained so systematically, easily and powerfully.
If you do not get it here - please read it on pages 126 and… Continue

Do stories apart from happenings have something to say? Everything in life that happens to us means something. Life speaks to us about itself through it's story, gradually reveals a secrets and take the from of a rebus whose message must be deciphered.
The stories we live comprise the mythology of our life and in that mythology lies the twin keys to truth and mystery.
Every living creature is born to be dead, sooner or later. This is an irrevocable truth. I was used to hear about deaths. Possib…

This thought of having poetry in your life has been a topic of discussion for a couple of weeks now, Shino (my wife) and I have been watching for it virtually on a daily basis, making sure we celebrate the poetry in living. The good news is that we feel we have quite a lot of it in our lives. Here is some more of what we did recently.
We went hiking on the 4th of July, to a beach I did not note the name of, but it was on Route 1 South, towards Santa Cruz, between Pascadero and Wadell Creek. We…

I wrote this article, somewhere between 1997 and 2004, am not sure when - but just asked by "John" (
I am not even sure which "John" you are my friend, but I thank you for this reminder) - to post it again - it is pretty good ... and long. Might have to re-title it ... Just Live!

Taken from an article on teachings from the Bhagavat Gita, the ancient Indian scripts,' The Puranas'. This specific article presents my comments and commentaries of a teaching from Lord Krishna.

This is good, I was talking to mother the other day and she was talking about how a lot of people she knows live their life in a very mundane manner, going to work, taking care of business and living day to day. Then she said, it was like they had no poetry in their life! I was floored, because that was such a beautiful way to talk about what I have been alluding to here in this concept of Living Life Right. Do you have poetry in your life? It was perfect.
So yes, I ask you ... Do you have poet…

Thought I would write a blog post - because .... I was awake and thought it was something fun to do. Got delayed flying out of Newark, NJ and am stuck in Vegas on my way back to San Francisco. The good news thought is that for once the airport is
quiet!! because most people are sleeping or blogging and NOT working the slot machines. I have never been here and experienced it so quiet - one would think I was back at the Cincinnati airport ... which for those of you who do not know, is in th…

Hope you all had a good weekend! - Shino and I rested well and did a some work with a friend who needed coaching and help to shift to a place of power and fresh new thinking. In looking back at the work we did, I thought I would be a good idea to share some thoughts about the process of making changes. When I ran my non-profit organization called "The Wha-Dho…

I was chatting with a friend this afternoon and came upon a story of someone who was causing all kinds of problems at work because of their sense of anxiety and interpretations of how bad their supervisor was. The end result was that this person quit working for that supervisor shortly after. Yesterday as well, I happened to be chatting with another friend who was herself having problems with her supervisor and has been for at least the last 4 - 6 months. To the extent that she is really ready t…

Question - Have you taken the time to assess the degree to which you are honoring your authentic nature?
This might come across as a bit esoteric - but where the rubber meets the road, I think we are better off, if we make assessments and begin to be aware of how in-sync we are to what brings us joy, peace and power. Our jobs, our relationships, our careers, the businesses we might own, the friends we keep, the food we eat, the journeys to take, the list goes on - everything we do either suppor…

Think about it - what needs to happen for you as individuals or your business to be in harmony?
Are you doing what you love?
Are you making money?
Is there meaning and value in what you do?
Are you hurting the community that surrounds you?
Are you hurting the planet and nature ... not being green?
I have had the opportunity to go through this process quite a few times, through my many years of helping people and several companies bring more power, prosperity, growth and harmony to their lives.…

Got this from the Yoga Journal "Daily Insight" email and thought it was a very good reminder:
When we spend time in the wilderness it can be tempting to focus our awareness on "doing" something: taking pictures; getting a certain amount of physical exercise; traveling from point A to point B; naming all the species of birds we encounter. While nature photography is a lovely craft, and we need to exercise for good health, and understanding what lives in our environment is a valid part of deepeni…

What is the cost of lying down on the grass and watching the stars at night?
This is more on the conversation of addressing the business of living life right. This comment was made by Toby Hecht of the
Aji Network during one of his recent conferences. Like the previous blogs I wrote on the need to plan for retirement, I would like this to be another invitation for you to assess your life strategy and determine for yourself, what it would cost you to lie d…

The sign hangs on the wall of a bagel shop: "Don't forget to be happy." Sometimes we get so bogged down in dealing with feelings, issues, problems - the realities and details of our lives - we forget to be happy. Often happiness can be ours if we just remember to be happy. Joy is a choice - a deliberate, conscious choice. That choice is available to us each day. Our joy isn't controlled by others or by outward circumstances. Joy comes from a deeper place, a place of security within ourselves. It…

I had begun to talk about the subject last week. The other two questions in that post were about working and hard and how much is enough money. Like the the new ING ad on TV. We all have a number because, in essence we have one. It cost money to live. Every day we are alive it costs us money. How are we going to fund our basic living expenses when we are retired from the market place and not working for a pay check?
This is a fact of life and we need to address it consciously. We can all come u…

With your actions, prompted and guided by your thoughts, you are always creating something. On this day, in this moment, the life you are living makes a real difference in one way or another. It is an awesome power, and yet it can be difficult to comprehend because it is usually so spread out over time. The little, seemingly meaningless things you do from moment to moment combine together to create the life you live. The most magnificent achievement you could imagine is, at its heart, built upon…

Quick comment on an experience we had. We were out camping at the Butano State Park the other day - and had a good time. It was a quick one night stay out in the woods in a Red Wood forest, very mild - but just the right amount of nature to get connect again, after a week of planes, presentations and powerpoints.
We were having a good time, until a family showed up with their kids - no offense to the little guys that were running around making all kinds of noise. Then the next morning they got…

Stop waiting for the one moment in time that will change your life. Instead, cherish all the moments. All the moments count. The quiet moments. The moments of boredom and solitude. The moments of sharing. The exciting moments of discovery. The moments of grandeur. The agonizing moments when we feel sad, angry, and upset. Each moment in time is equally important.
Don't wait and hope for the one thing, the one person, the one event, that will change your life, plummet you into the future and the…

Many of us have blocked ourselves from receiving love. We may have lived with people who used love to control us. Love was given, or withheld, to control us and have power over us. It was not safe for us to receive love from these people. We may have gotten accustomed to not receiving love, not acknowledging our need for love, because we lived with people who had no real love to give.
At some point we acknowledge that we, too, want and need to be loved. We may feel awkward with this need.
We w…

Questions -- 1. Do you love what you do? 2. Do you work really hard or do you have it easy at work? 3. Are you making enough money? I thought I would ask you these questions to get you thinking about what you are doing in a way that will shed light on what your options might be. This is not meant to be a downer in any way, shape or form.
I believe, most of us are not doing what we love, we are working too hard and not making enough money. Confucius said something to the effect of ...

When focusing on what is important in your life ... I have come up with one set of criteria, which in my opinion, is a powerful way to go about living life and prioritizing what is important. How do you move with power? How do you live a life of grace and love? How do you create life experiences that get you as far away from pain as possible.
Consider focusing on the following .....
Health - we need our bodies to help us move through this dimension. Everything we do or experience; we ex…

I posted a video of famous Japanese singer's song called "Jupiter".
The original song is " The Planet " by Gustav Holst.
It is a very beautiful, powerful and spiritual song which was a big hit in 2003. But even now, it continues to be a big seller in Japan. I believe the reason behind it is, that there is a spiritual boom happening in Japan at the moment ... You can see many books about spirituality at bookstores and famous spiritual counselor's have TV show that draw huge audiences.

For those of you that live in Podcast land as I do sometimes, one of the more interesting I've listened to lately is the podcast version of the HDNet show Dan Rather Reports, specifically the episode called "Mind Science". It deals with how scientists, with the blessing of the Dalai Lama, are studying the brains of Buddhist monks to understnad how meditation changes our brains in tangible ways. Fascinating stuff. And if you really want to dive into this subject matter, I recommend a book called…

Hello people!! - I was wondering what people do to manage their priorities in these two potentially separated domains of life and living. We all have them, yet the quality of life we experience will be directly related to how well we manage our time and commitments in these two areas.
Do you have any comments you can make about how you are doing this? What do you do to keep your sanity on one hand and take care of your concerns on the other?
Would love to hear how "we" are handling this. ...

I just returned from visiting friends and family back in the Philadelphia area. One of the main reasons I went was to see my parents, especially my father who has Alzheimers and is in the midst of a slow but sure decline. It was a bit shocking when I first arrived at his room and for the first time, I don't think he was sure who I was, or at least it didn't really register for him that he hadn't seen me since Christmas. He's at the point where you can't really have a conversation with him that h…

Just wanted to share a thought with you on the topic of earth day: in the lineage of shamanic healers that I belong to, the Q’Ero people, the Andean shaman who are descendants of the Incas, there is an important principle know as “ayni” which means a spirit of reciprocity, or right relationship. I find the principle of ayni to be a beautiful reminder that we are all one. In a world is of living energy, if humanity doesn’t come into right relationship with the earth, earth will no longer be able…

Hi Paul - Thanks for the invitation. I think the definition of living life right will be as unique as every individual. It's up to each person to decide what right living is for them, and then how much focus and energy they have available to make it happen. I'm on a spiritual path of yoga and follow the teachings, so what I need to do to live life right for me is very specific.
According to the scriptures, attaining the goal of yoga is the m… Continue

Im fine Paul, nice to hear from you again!!
I try to be myself, to be congruent and authentic. This is what comes to my mind when I think about living life right. I guess the problem starts when other people disagree or dislike it. I believe it is good to listen to the others and not live in a comfort shelter, but yet be oneself and be honest with oneself. This open mind state is what makes me feel free and happy. take care.

I was thinking just the other day that for the most part; we are blessed. There are many of us in this society, here in the US that are living lives that are filled with many creature comforts. We have the choice to focus on other aspects of living that are higher up on Maslow's hierarchy of need. Question to you though ... are you taking advantage of this opportunity to celebrate how blessed we are? or are you missing out on the potential live life right?
Be well.

To live life right? I think it is different and unique for each one us. For instance - Shino introduced me to a concept the Japanese call "Ma" It is the space of stillness, of silence, of emptiness that exits in life, conversation and virtually any activity we might be engaged in. From conversations with friends to the rigor and business with which we live our daily lives. How much space of stillness or emptiness do we create or have in our life?
Bruce Lee used to say ... if you take all the no…
